problem starting after heavy rain...

ok i got a problem with my runaround... (escort 1.3) i no it aint a nova but wondered if any one got any idea wots wrong.. ok im driving it in very heavy rain when it starts to judder and loose power it felt like it was running out of petrol.. so i pull over.. try to start it again but it just turns over and dont fire.. any ideas wot it could be?

Is the escort carbed or injection.
Could it be water inside the carb?

Check the dizzy and ht leads for moisture then try again. They might just be damp.

tryed it this morning and it fired first time :lol: i guess wotever got water in has now dryed up.. thx 4 ya help
