The valver has now been run in, and whilst on a long trip up the vauxmd (in gloucestesheire)wit dan16v the kill list finally begun, by embarrasing a Audi TT Quattro, amounst other cars

Then on the way back from burning bournmouth last nite, on a 40mph country lane i had some twat in a new astra right up my ass  . I kept to 40mph as the road is prone for police, then as we got to the dual carriage way he attempted to over take..................

Well all i can say is that he looked like a right prick when he got left for dust!

No matter what people say bout valvers, they are fecking fast! and such a laugth!

They are great fun, just sodding annoying to drive to work and back when stuck in trafic for hours at a time.

Thats what i thought when i was building mine, but it doesnt seem much different to driving the gsi.

The steering is no heavier, the only difference is the bilstein shocks are alot harsher.

Owell im sure i can live with that though

yeah, nova 2 litre valvers are fast little cars.
Ive had some good races in mine, no scoobies yet though! :?
Blown away lots of twats in hot hatches ie. saxos, 106 gti's etc.
Also done very well against expernsive cars such as focus RS (even), Audi TT (cained him).
Mine is more or less standard apart from powercap. Maybe going to get cams and chip soon.
Enjoy your car TWAG, be careful as valvers are serious weapons.

Matt.

what about the 8v? are these just as devatating or not quite as quick as the valver?

anyone had any fun experience with posh knobs in an 8v as this is what i am planning with my nova in the next couple of months!

do the 8v's have more torque than the 16v's as standard(130bhp 8v bty)?

yes.

the 8valves powerband doesnt last all that long tho.

apparently the 130bhp 8valver is as fast as a 16valver up the strip due to the box, duno how true that is....

nice one, uk scoobs are easy meat once up and running, although their owners seem to think they're super cars!

regarding torque 8v vs 16v - i would have thought the 16v would have a wider spread of torque?!
