firing problems

Hey guys, sorry I'm new here and My old man has been pratting about under my bonnet, and lost the firing order and lead locations on my distributor cap, can you please help?

Nova on a K plate, 1.2 I assume that it will fire, 1 3 4 2 but where should the lead 1 be located on the distributpr cap?

Please be quick as I am on a promise this evening, and need my motor to be collecting.

im sure its the top (rear) plug but the easiest way to tell is to remove the cambelt cover, wind the engine over till its at TDC indicated by the marks on the timing cover and cam pulley and the rotor arm should be pointing at lead 1

I think it is,
1-top right
3-top left
4-bottom left
2-bottom right

In an anti-clockwise direction.

yeah i done that while doing the head gasket, sounded like a scooby ha ha
what i noticed is on the distrib cap there is a small no 1 that tell u its cylinder 1, but if u dont have that is 1 top right. 3 top left 4 bottom left 2 bottom right :D
