View Full Version : V6 into a nova
im pannin on puttin a v6 in me nova but i was wondering bout the engine mounts, i was wondering if i use the same ones that u get with these 2l conversion kits if not where can i get the rite mounts.
cheers peeps
you'll have to make up your own. when you've positioned it in place, then see where to mount, not an off the shelf conversion like the XE is now.
I read in Total Vauxhall that a company -maybe Courtney, can't remember- tried it and the car handled like a pig and they vowed never to do it again.
But hey, what the heck. Anything to be different
there was a mag did a feature on sticking one in a corsa. but it was years ago. I think it was max power

that will be real informative then
let me imagine how that guide would go
"take V6 and car to..... whoever paid us the most to advertise"

Why do it now? Why not get yourself a more useable car/engine for a few years, then do the V6 conversion at a later date?
Personnaly I think the V6 is one of the worst conversions that you can do for a Nova as it's far too heavy for the car, but each to thier own.
Jim
the only time the v6 would be good is if it was in the back of the nova. RWD that would be fun
jim as i sed it dont matter how heavy it is cos its a show car and ive already got a car for the road this is my project car
