im pannin on puttin a v6 in me nova but i was wondering bout the engine mounts, i was wondering if i use the same ones that u get with these 2l conversion kits if not where can i get the rite mounts.

you'll have to make up your own. when you've positioned it in place, then see where to mount, not an off the shelf conversion like the XE is now.

I read in Total Vauxhall that a company -maybe Courtney, can't remember- tried it and the car handled like a pig and they vowed never to do it again.
But hey, what the heck. Anything to be different :twisted:

i kno it would make the handling shite but its a show car i wouldnt b able to afford the insurance to drive it anyway

a show car fair enough but most people still use the car but u will just trailer it everywhere?

the point in that mark is that im 18 and insurance companies will just laugh at me wen i tell em wot ive done

i cant wait to get insured on my V8 nova :D then again by the time its completed i'll be about 25 anyway.

Why do it now? Why not get yourself a more useable car/engine for a few years, then do the V6 conversion at a later date?

Personnaly I think the V6 is one of the worst conversions that you can do for a Nova as it's far too heavy for the car, but each to thier own.

jim as i sed it dont matter how heavy it is cos its a show car and ive already got a car for the road this is my project car
