Won't start?

This is a post for a mate any help would be appreciated.

My mate got a 1.2 4 door nova on an E-plate he got a new battery the other day and the car started fine an was runing fine went to start it today and it just won't start it want to but it just don't :? Any suggestions to what the problem could be :?:

is there voltage still at the battery

any electrics that could be draining the charge whilst it was sat overnight? e.g. alarm, stereo etc

well my surgestion could be the alternator earth cable check to see if its snapped

There seems to be enough charge in the batterry there's no stereo connected up Im goin to have a look today with him sp i'll check these things
