I've just bought a Legacy LA330 amp and kenwood sub of a mate

I've hooked the battery input straight to my battery terminal , is this correct ?

What is the line out for, next to the line in ? (RCA IN) is that for connecting amps in parallell ?

Battery input,??????.eerrmmm

Well you want a fused(very important) live feed directly from the battery(thick cable as it carries a lot of current), then a ground connection, with the RCA out from your headunit connected to the RCA in on your amp. You also want a P-remote(normally a blue wire) that switches your amp on with your head unit, this can be any thickness. Then just connect your speaker(s), then you need to set the gain etc to match it to your use(6x9s or subs etc).
Run speaker wires/RCA wires down the opposite side of the car to the power cables.Should avoid interference.

battery direct feed to the amp. dont forget the fuse. then the amp remote from hu and the earth.

the line in and out are they red and white coloured?
if so they should be your input from your aux cables from the hu.

at the moment i got it running straight off the battery, from the terminal on it !?

Is there anyway i can get a fused connection ? or do i have to literally buy a fuse and add it in !? If so what fuse d i buy ?

There is a fuse in the side of the amp, but this aint the battery wire fuse ?

And yes, the power cable is big and red and very thick lol

^^^^^^^
as he said.

you do need to fuse it, and as close to the battery as well. this is to protect your cars interior if a fire happens.
