Wiring a tech plug into a 2L 16V Nova

Ive just finished my engine 2l16v conversion and ive got some running problems, engine missfires at certain rev points and is under powered.

I want to plug the diagnostic equipment in to find out how the engine is running etc but when i went to look for the plug there isnt one.

The engine is from a astra gte, can i wire a plug in so i can run the diagnostics? If so has anyone got any wiring diagrams?

well i dont think u need the tech plug u can just ground out 2 wires (i think) and then read the fault codes off the flashing ecu light

did you find what the problem is in the engine? as i have an astra mk2 2.0l 8v gte and has exactly the same problem like yours.

yeah, it turned out to be the knock sensor, i had postioned it in the wrong place. I replaced it with a new one and it run fine.
