open source racer.......

A friend of mine just posted about this new open source racing game on another board that I use, it looks like it could be brilliant. I downloaded a couple of cars, there are literally hundreds to choose from(I got the evo's) it's all free. I've not tried it yet as I am at work and the pc's are shite for 3d graphics, but anyway here's the info....


This game entitled "Racer" is a completely free open-source driving game designed to be an accurate car simulation. It's got loads of downloadable cars and tracks and is constantly being updated. I think they're working on Multiplayer as well so we can even play each other (Note:- Multiplayer is in the current release)

It's well worth a look...

Can you program your own cars?

yeah I think so. you can use things like 3DSMAX to create them(if you know how) but like I said, I've not tried it yet, so dont know what it is actually like.

there are some editors that come with the prog, but not sure how good they are.
