C20xe ecu question

Would there be a problem if i used a ecu from a cavalier gsi, on a astra GTE engine. (both engines are c20xe's). I am having some running problems and wonder if this could be the problem.

are u getting any ecu fault codes

check the codes stamped on the ecus if they dont match it wont work
