Could someone please give me sum info on the 1.5TD nova...I know I can fit a dump valve to it (i know this because i sometimes hang around with the Turbo Doctor, and he fitted the one on to the red pug TD that did 0-60 in 7 secs, the one that was in Maxy P a bit ago), i know i'll get hefty mpg and i know that they are cheap to insure...

I take it everyone here has heard an RS Turbo with a full Scorpion zorst...they fucking roar at you when on boost...they sound absolutely pant wetting...thing is, if i got a full scorpion (or a similar zorst) could i get a roar like a petrol turbo'd car with a scorpion on a 1.5TD nova?

I think if i got one i'd chip it, full zorst, filter etc...if i could get a scorpion roar out of it...i'd buy one tomorrow (if i could find one cos they are rare and like finding a hindu easter egg)

reliable?

you might be able to get a diesel "riser" which is an expensive way of getting a little more out of it. But i fail to see how any car will be insurance friendly towards YOU.

anyway pug TD's are naturally rapid where as vauxhall ones tend to be a lot more sluggish. even with "mods"

i meant it will be insurance friendly in my circumstances, obviously cos of my points, any car i get will rape me, but i meant the insurance on the TD will be acceptable...not extautionate (spelling)

ged u'll find a 1.5TD costs more to insure than a 1.3SR when u start getting quotes..

67BHP Izusu (sp?) engine, as quick as a 1.3SR and better up hills cuz of nuff torque :)

best is to take it to a company called, jd diesel specialist (i think) for a couple of hundred they fit an intercooler, up the boost, and up the fuel pump.
the td is quicker than a standard sr, well mine is anyway.
And as for zorst. just remove the centre box, and fit a performance back box.
The turbo muffles the noise and it sounds sweet.

Yer I thought 'ahh grp 6, fuck the petrol 1.3 off, I'll have one of these instead' till quotes were in the 1.4SR league...

they aint bothered about power, they take note of the engine size.. fookin coonts they are :D
