Ignition problems with Opel Corsa 1.3 SR (1984)

The engine "cuts off" when I go by the motorway suddenly (it happened 5 times). And after I cant start (the electrical starter goes fine, but there isnt spark or gas) in 2-30 minutes.

What can it be ? Fuel pump relay ? Bad electric wires ? Distributor ? Carb ?

does it have a manual choke or automatic (spelling!)

The choke is the thing to pull when you start that is located under the light selector ? If it is that, then is manual. :wink:

do u have a k&n filter? if so it could be the carb freezing up

Hummm , I dont think so. The car have not any mods (only ICE stuff)since it was buyed by the grandfather of my girlfriend 20 years ago.

I think is something related with distributor, wires or the other hand a goofy fuel pump relay.
