I kinda broke my nova whoops "oh dear"
Driving along at 80 and lost all power steam started comming from the bonnet But temp gauge was in cool poped the bonnet and saw a huge hole in my rad Hose "the fat one in the left corner" But why would my car of totally lost power and die never to be started again????
any help?

When you loose your water, your temp gauge reads cool coz no water passes over the sensor. Whilst that is happening, your car is overheating, and your head is probably warping big time.

i know but it was cool for ages like all nite mr mc.
Is that the reason it wont start?
cas last time i poped the head i was driving it for about a month the cam is more or less dead also

It only takes a couple of minutes m8 with no water to cause big damage.

whoops... just tried it again and it runs lol sounds nasty but runs

Dont think it over heated m8 cas there is still water left in the water tank thingi...

If you stopped it in time, and it didnt overheat, then u might have got steam or water in some electrics.

I blew a water-core plug last year.....that was fun! Steam shooting straight out of the block. By by 1.2...hello 1.3 ;)

Oh, and head-gasket blew, and a hole in a piston...sounded mint, and did about 10mph max, and didn't like that!
