put the belt on the top pulley, (only about 1/2 inch on) and then do the same wiv the rest of the pullies and then just work the belt to the bk of all the pullies slowly and that shud b it

Does it have the automatic tensioner pulley? If so the you can use a screwdriver to move a tab on it to loosen the belt enough to get it over the pulleys, once the belt is on release the tensioner and it should now be set correctly.

try putting it on all the pullies apart from the tensioner then move the tensioner to make it as loose as poss and try and slip the belt over the tensioner

sometimes u get a bang if it overfuels, or u have the leads on wrong, failing that, the cam timing is wrong and u have bent a valve or 8!

is it all still all at TDC?

u havent used 2 differnent types of pulley have you??

the nova 1.2s had different teeth than the later 1.2i iirc and if u use the wrong belt it will jump

Its no good asking on line. You need someone that knows what they are doing to have a look.
