1.2 spi to 1.6 gte

how much power change will i feel from my 1.2 to my new 1.6 which i am picking up after work today. i have put in piper cam and filler and 4 branch and full sytem. how much power should i gain from this transplant the engin has done 76k miles
any help would be nice

well a 1.2 spi to 1.6 is a straight double up of power and the cam + other bits should take it to a tad over standard power (bear in mind the engine is atleast 14 years old so its worn a bit)


so the difference will be a lot

yeah its 14 years old but lad who got engine off had full rebuild at 50k which is real nice with recipcts to prove it!! :D

probably get 100bhp on a dyno, maybe 1 or 2 more.

make sure u change ure single point inj pump for a multipoint pump internal, i used a astra 1.4 multipoint, as they are everywhere, 15 quid from scrappers..
