i know this is the 2nd post i have done on the gsi front bumper but i have 4got weva anythin needs to be done to mk1 wings to make it fit.
i think that someone said that you have to drill the wings to get it on? if so
were do you have to drill and is it much work as i am looking to get the bumper within a week or two

Alright mate.

Where there are the plastic mounts on the bumper at each end u will need to screw in some screws 10mm i think. So just line up the mount with the wing and mark off and drill a small hole. On the mk11 the bumpers fit shit anyway so u will probably be able to get a good fit!
should be easy mate. If u dont have the original screws just use the screws that hold the trim on in the boot, think they are the same.

Didnt bother on mine- the main bumper mountings hold it on- the sides dont move much anyway. Only cos Im lazy tho!!!

i just bolted the front brackets on and did them up normally under the arches and then just whacked a self tapper through the arch lip and iside edge of the buper so you hardly nitice it. its never goin anywhere
