mk1 dash speakers

how the feck do i get me crappy factory speakers out of the mk1 dash, ive been tryin for ages but cant seam to get at them.

lots of patience and cut fingers!!! there's no really easy way to do this, you just have to squeeze your hand through where the vent is on the driverside and undo the screws. The passenger side is easy, just remove the glovebox.(although saying that, it's been about 6 or so years since I last did that on a mk1 and my memory is fading with age, so I could be wrong!! lmao!)

on the drivers side, push the fuse box up and out of the way. then use 3 or 4 of those magnetic screw driver bits together. you can now reach the screw heads and remove the speaker. it is a pain putting them bach thou.

as jk said for the pass side. take glove box out.

i did it when i'd taken the dash out. SO much easier. lol
