Im considering getting 1 of those exhaust trim things, like my m8s got. but the end of the nova tail pipe points down. my m8 said he cut his pipe rite back to the box (of his 106  ) is this a good thing to do, will it cause ne problems? cant afford a full exhaust system, and this is much easier.

Do you mean just one of them end things, that just clamp onto the end of the exhaust pipe.
DON'T, they are complete crap, they don't even look any good.
Just try to get a second hand back box from Ebay, even if it is just a basic performance back box it is still gonna be better than one of those trims.
Here a Peco BB2,going for ?15:-

yeah, dont bother with 1 of them trim things, a proper backbox is better

i had a proper stainless one on mine made by jetex

if u flip it upside down it will fit on the bent pipe just fine, and it keeps the bracket out of sight so it doesnt look stupid
