i got a kenwood mask for the nova, onlyi connected it up and it worked but no sound came out, so i thought the output chip must of blown and i took it back.

i then decided to put the kenwood out of the escort into the nova, it did exactly the same thing, i put it back into the escort and it still works.

all the wires are the same in both cars and both are fitted with universal connections, 8 speaker wires, red & yellow together to the positive, black to the negative, blue tied up, earthed to chassis.

i`ve tried everything i can think of and still not working, has anyone had a similar prob or have any ideas what cud be up.

try running some new cables from the hu to the speakers and c if that helps, u might have a break in the wires

Are the speakers run staright off the HU or off a amp? If it's off a amp then you need to connect the blue wire to remote turn on the amp.

If they are connected straight to the HU then I've no idea

And yes, this should be in the ICE section!!

the hu is fine cos it works in the escort

no amps envolved

i cant think wot it cud possibly be.

just run new wires to each speaker and connect it directly to the head unit. If that doesn't work then buy a new car. lol
