how are u supposed to fit this bumper as there are no mounts included and no real good mounting points on the actual bumper. I was thinking, maybe makin some L shaped brackets and bolting them to the car and glueing the bumper on top of the brackets and screwing it in at the front arches?? ne other better ideas wud bre appreciated.cheers
That bumper is a bitch to fit. Well, ok its not that bad, but you will need to make up some brackets.
I used two V shaped brackets to go from the wings to the side of the bumper; two flat brackets to go from the front valance to the base of the bumper; two more V shaped brackets that go from the bumper iron to the back of the bumper. Also, as mine was a Mk2, i cut off the pegs on the bottom of the grille and replaced them with bolts to hold the bumper up, as without these the bumper drooped down.
It needed reinforcing all along the top with plastic strips, and the sides needed a lot of chopping around to fit the wings properly. And then there's the fitting of lamps in it...

the easiest way is to fibre glass it on i think
^^ yep, i used this fibreglass glue filler stuff.... strong enough to hold it on, but don't go whacking it too hard else it'll drop off
