at the moment, its probably a 1.6 or something. :lol:


everyone with big power seems to be building/rebuilding them at the moment so no-ones is actually running yet

my bets on ricks being the quickest though :o

Doesn't the owner or part owner of the 2.08v Turbo (under 12sec 1/4) come on this site? If so, then I guess it would be him with the fastest Nova on the site.

I doubt it. That EVO is my mates. 310bhp and it wouldn't be quicker than a slightly tuned LET nova. Obviously off the mark the 4WD would launch it in front but the LET would keep reeling it in. Mat is running the EVO down the 1/4mile at Melbourne, York on Bank Holiday monday so I'll post his times up. It will be interesting to see it against the LET times I have seen on here that were low 13's iirc

Im not to sure, really it all depends on what you mean by fastest, like someone mentioned, Rick's will be damn quick once the powers down. CP's is damn quick round a track, Chris has a damn quick one aswell especially now that i have heard he has a quaife box.

But all in all mine is to fast!No contest

well the fastest should be done in classes much like all forms of motorsport lol

eg 2.0 forced induction (turbo or supercharger or surbo :wink: )
2.0 N/A

1.6 forced
1.6 N/A (valve number dosent matter lol)

1.4 forced
1.4 N/A

1.3 N/A

1.2 N/A


so that enables a few people to have the "fastest" novas as they may have a stupidly fast for the engine size car.

Agree with cambridge on this one.
Its not possible to say whos is fastest. Its gotta be more than that really. whos quickest over 1/4 mile or 0 to 60 or so on and on.

Classes are the right way to do it . especially for the smaller engine cars.
Also comparing a turbo to a N/A dosent happen i dont think.
2 very different ways of extracting power and delivering it.

Would be intresting to have a link on novaload showing peoples nova/power/1/4mile times/ ect ect

we did start compiling a list of known times/power etc and trying to work out a standard time, and from that guage a fast car. but it got waaaaaaaaay too complicated lol

if u had a sectoin for bhp/times etc, people would just make them up or guess generously and it would be pointless.

1.2i has the same 45 horses that the 1.0 has anyway so their isn't any difference performance wise really.

I can't wait to get my Evo up the strip, I really want to know how the LET novas compare to it.
I think they will be pretty close to be honest, but only if the novas can get traction.
