Ive got 2 subs, 1 is a jbl 10" 1000w and 1 is an audiobahn 10" 1200w. Wot kind of an amp shud i buy to power them properly? RMS on the jbl is 250w and the audiobahn is 600w. Do i get a 2 channel or 4 channel amp? Any help much appreciated chaps

well get 2 matching subs first of all mate.... they pump out diffferent frequencies and play against esach other. the audiobahn will pump lower and probably better than the JBL. so either fork out on another audiobahn or buy another jbl.

then once u've done that get either a 400w rms or 800w rms 2 channel amp, then it'll sound sweet as ( if u got a good enclosure and also if u don't wack the subs up to full chatt wiv out breaking them in first)

go to bassjunkies and look on there they have good deals!
( not suer if its .com or .co.uk soz)
or try ebay they have new goods on there as well as second hand goods!
but b 4 u bid ask the seller if the rating stated is rms or pmpo (if its not already in the ad)
these are all good:
www.incarexpress.co.uk
www.hiwayhifi.com
www.caraudiosecurity.com
www.bassjunkies.com
www.letsbuycaraudio.com
Prices tend to vary a bit between them for different things, its not just a case of one being the cheapest for everything.

Running 2 subs of different size and brand/model is definately not recommended. They will both have different characteristics, freq responses, requirements etc.....
You are likely to get a clash of frequencies, cancelling out/doubling of waves and it will sound pretty bad. Your best off just running one of the two, or getting another one to match. The Audiobahn will be the better choice imo as it had a much higher RMS rating, although they arnt all that for sound quality or reliability
