got snapped by a red light jumper 2 weeks ago got a letter the other day and it said i was speeding as well but im only gettin done for the red light jump anyone else been snapped by this whats the fine and points ?60 and 3points?? :twisted:

i thought i was going to get caught by one a few wks ago went through red light coz i was having a go at the kids coz they were playing up and didn't realise!!!! but luckily nothing through the door yet, so fingers crossed!!!

Are they not changing speeding fines and red light fine to 90 quid ?
When i got mine a short time ago for speeding (58mph in a 30 zone) they said that it may be going up to 90 quid for a speeding fine ?

The number of speeding tickets issued is obviously set to increase dramatically. Most motorists will inadvertently be caught in the net. A speeding offence carries a minimum of three penalty points and a ?60 fine (with more points/higher fine for 25mph+ over the speed limit).

I was mistaken. I think they must have said that because i was over 25 mph over the limit!

Don't worry! Everyone who gets caught at 33mph in a 30zone will only have to pay 60 quid and 3 points... Robbing Bastards

Erm, NOVABOYO if u got caught doing 58mph in a 30 u will get 6 points

49mph + and u get 6 points.

thats if your caught ;) there was a rumour that the law was going to be changed so that you could pay a higher fine, and have no points, or pay normal fine and get points, dont know if it'll happen though!

Recorded 58mph in a 30 zone. i must have been bloody near the limit of gettin 6 points, which for me is an instant ban cus ive only been driving a year!

need to be doin double the speed limit i.e 60 in a 30 to get 6 points and a ban i think. I got 4 points for doin 47-53 in a 30 on a motorbike! :roll:

You could argue it then. If they can't see you, they can't prove it was you. Somebody could have copied your number plates onto a car that looks like yours etc etc...

Also there was talk about them letting you take a driving course, or something or other where they tell you how to drive like a granny and show u lots of pictures of bike crashes with mutilated people etc. instead of taking the points.
