exhaust connections

just bought a 1.4sr engine and 1.3sr cr box (4.18)!

the engine has the twin downpipe exhaust manifold on it.
im putting the engine into my 1.2 (using my head with 1.4sr cam init)

can i use the 1.4 twin pipe manifold with my old exhaust system?

or do i need to use my old 1.2 manifold.

No, its not compatable. Instead of using the 1.2 system, stick with the SR manifold and downpipe and buy the GTE middle section.

gte middle section won't mate to a 1.3/4 downpipe

1.3/4 sr have a small angle on the flange so ule need that middle section, which costs 8 quid last time i checked.. 4 get gte gsi or sri too big of an angle... wont mate

Sorry my bad, I though SR downpipe was the same as GTE

u need the 1.4sr manifold and twin-downpipe, then u need the 1.4sr middlebox-manifold pipe. After that its the same as the 1.2/1.3 i'm pretty sure.

1.3sr manifold is diff to 1.4 btw.

I've got a 1.4 manifold on my 1200 head u see.

u need the 14nv manifold and down pipe, just so happens i've got a spare 14nv maifold, down pipe and straight through system (standard system with silencer removed) to get rid off!
