Can anyone give me some specific tips on fitting of 2ltr 8v please.

Does it go straight in with existing engine mounts?

What about drive shafts ect?

I am transplanting to 1.2 j plate shell and have my GTE for parts to go on later

Cheers

check out www.stuffing.freeserve.co.uk and look in engine conversion.

Thing you WILL need!

Conversion engine mounts, front engine mount and rear gear box mount, these alow the engine to meet the mounting points propperly.

Cav mk2 inner cv's and then Nova GTE 22 plines shafts. Or if you get a conversion kit from PVD say(about ?500) then you'll get these things in the kit, but u can do it cheaper.

If the bottom pully has Power steering pully on it then it'll most likely catch on the arch, ever so slightly, but it was doing my head in! so u can just grind it off.

There will most likely be a 'tab' on the bottom of the gear box, stops it from falling over when stood on the floor on its own. It will catch on the tie bar, grind it off to the shape of the gear box, it is allaminium so will be easy.

Anything else just ask.
