Having real problems with my 1.4sr, it is frying spark plugs and i cant get the timing to stay right. would this be the problem??

On the end of the camshaft where the pully bolts on, there is a pin on the end of the shaft where the pully locates on to, Mine has been sheered of and i was wondering would the pully slip on the shaft or would the nut be strong enough to hold it?

you need the pin as the weight of the valve springs will cause the pully to turn. id get it sorted before you go too far as it could slip and bend your valves
