***Rolling Road ShootOut Pics!!!!***

Hi,
On Sunday me and a few mates went to Stealth Racing to watch (and Laugh) at some Pugs on the Rollers as part of there Rolling Road day..... As it happened there wasn't many Pugs wanted to run, so me and my mate Padge decided to show them how it was done.

Unfortunetely on the way the XE Nova had a slight Fuel Pump Problem so I had to Tow him :lol:

Unfortunetely Both cars had problems.......

Mine Ran 152bhp (Down 30bhp from what it should be) Due to a weak Actuator and a slighty out of tune MAP.

And the XE which should be around 165-170bhp made just 135bhp running on its back up map and we think one of the sensors has gone... Possible the one on the Dizzy for CAM timing.....

Having said that we still beat all but one of the Pugs..... :D

Also I would like to say cheers to Adam AKA AJM (1.6 8v on Twin webbers) Who came all the way from Tamworth to watch us.

I've got a new actuator for that turbo if you're interested... hmm deja vu LOL.

Cars are looking good. I think Nova's always look better with the front bumpers/grilles removed.

Jim, Yes i'll be at all the shows.... But those pics make the car look better than it is! Its covered in dents :evil:

Ben- The XE is Chipped, Has a BTB Manifold, Filter, Powercap, Straight through exhaust (one silencer).... When its sorted we are hoping for around 165bhp.... But we shall see.

Scott- The Rolling Road is in a village called Southam.... 2 Mins drive from my house. Its about 15mins away from Leamington Spa.

Doesnt sound like a completly unrealistic target for those mods.

I think there is no bumper on padge's because it was been towed, and most bumpers cover the towing eye.
No grilles i dunno, but i suspect to keep the engines cooler.

Got it one, Padge's Nova has a smoothed GSi bumper, which doesn't allow access to the towing eye, so the bumper had to removed.

As for mine, I've only just fitted the MK2 Wings and lights, and as a result neither MK1 or MK2 grills fit striaght on.

Also it gives extra cooling for the intercooler 8)

I think neil went through the max power sticker stage a few years ago! remember the blitz sticker on the SR neil! ha ha. its defo stealth racing sticker!

I'll tell you what, My Nova felt like a land rover towing that car! It pulled up hills in 5th without me even giving it stick... The Torque is amazing :D I couldn't believe it! TURBO's RULE!!!!!! Although TB's arn't far behind :P
