if its a free air sub it uses ur boot as a box! e.i. it goes in ur parcel shelf. u no, where most pepz 6x9s live?

What!

if you put a sub on the parcel shelf it will soung like complete and utter s**t!

deep bass sounds come from sealed box's and larger sub's. more racier bass notes (dance etc) come from smaller subs or ported boxes.

so u doubt someone who used to work for bass junkies do u?
trust me, a free air sub uses ur boot as a box, its not designed to be put in2 a heavy weight encloseir.
it may sound daft but thats wot there 4.

hes right if u put a free air sub in a box ported or sealed it will sound pants!

if u want a box sell ur free air sub and buy one for a box, will sound loads better

free air subs dont use a box they use the 'free air' in the boot.

smaller subs are for tight hard hitting bass
bigger subs give more of a rumble and not so reponsive

sealed boxes are good for tight bass(dance)
ported are for more boomy bass (great for R&B)
