...Cav GSI Brakes...

Guys, got a set of Cav GSI Calipers and need caliper seals for them.
Phoned my local dealership today (after another motor factors said they don't stock them) and the guy asked what type of calipers they are? ATE or whatever..?

Basically wondering...is there any way I can determine what ones they are bearing in mind I have just painted them? They are off a K- reg Cavalier GSI.

im about 99.9% sure they will be ATE's

every 2.0 cav was fitted with them after about a g plate

easiest way to tell is to look at the front of the caliper - there is a D shaped cutout in the caliper body that u can see the pad thru

the shitty old delco ones didnt have this

got the seals after...

cost me ?22 from Vauxhall :o

picking them up tomorrow so should (fingers crossed) be able to fit the brakes on Thursday.

What exactly do I have to do to fit the new seals? Don't want to knacker the new ones up, lol

i got seal kit for ?10 from somewhere, mate found it for me. Want to klnwo how to fit them too.
