going to be doing this conversion from a cavalier gsi 2000 into my nova 1.0 4spd.

list of parts to get for me...

1x mounting brakets kit (ordered from valvers.com)
2x cav 1.6 big block inner cv's (got new ones today)
nova gte 22 spline drive shafts (still seeking)
1x nova injection fuel tank (still seeking)
1x fuel pump (using cavalier gsi pump)
1x nova gsi radiator (ordered today, but will my 1.0 fan and cowl fit ok?)
1x Single V Crank Pulley

Engine service parts...
Timing Belt and Rollers
Fuel Filter
Oil & Filter
Water Pump
Oil Pump Possibly
Full Gasket Set incl Crank Case Seal

All of the Brakes and Suspension have been upgraded, and the chassis modified and strengthened to spec.

Quick few questions..
1. Have i forgotten anything
2. Will i need a different O/S mount as mine is a 1.0?
3. with the valvers.com engine mount kit will i need to drop the O/S braket on the chassis
4. The nova headertank takes 2 hoses where as the cav has 3, is it possible to branch the two smaller hoses into one or do i need a differed tank?

thanks

T piece for connecting hoses together for header tank

1.0 engine mounts are different to the mounts on 1.2-1.6 so will need modifying/replacing with 1.2 ones etc

was thinking about mounting from top or bottom, but the whole engine bay is being painted up immaculate before the lump goes in and i sure dont wanna go marking it

the offside mounting braket your replacing with the valvers one anyway so it wont matter

nova gte 22 spline drive shafts
1x nova injection fuel tank
1x fuel pump
1x Single V Crank Pulley

As explained about shafts have got all the abpve excluding them.

I find it much easier from underneath and you dont have to remove ARB/tie bars to get it in (although you do want to remove the ARB if your fitting a big block engine anyhow).

valers.com have quite a comprehensive guide in their downloads section

last night i stripped the head from the cavalier, head looks very new (non-coscast though) and the pistons clearly have the markings readable on the faces.

the gearbox casing also looks very new.

head being pressure tested today, then sent of to be ported and polished while i source some compotition spec solid lifters

epc list same part no's for all offside engine mounts on the nova including the 1.0

therefore do i really need to change my 1.0 nova one as it is in good condition and dont fancy spending more again for a mount
