Digital Dash??

Hi all,
Im interested in fitting a digi dash to my mk1 nova..
I was just after some info on it, as to which is the best to get, how hard is it to fit (what exactly is involved?) and, the mileage shown on the digi dash, will it change to the mileage of my car when fitted??

I had a look at my current dash, and notice that it doesnt exactly seem easy to remove whats ther already, without smashin through the plastic??

Any advice appreciated..

Its not very easy to put a digi dash into a MK1 dash, you have to cut away sections of the dash and alter the hot air ducting behind that, I haven't seen many done, I changed my MK1 dash for a MK2 which made things a bit easier, a lot of trouble I must admit to fit a digi dash

So is that the only difference then between the 8v and the 16v digi dash,bobby yours has a rev counter that go's in a round style curv,and the one i have on a 16v dash go's up to a pint then drops back down to the right..

Its not the number of valves that determine the type of rev counter.

Tick type was up to early G reg
Arc type was later G reg and onwards

xzibit, how did u change ur colour bulbs. Please dont say nova-land!!!!

nah a guy on migweb sell replacment filters (dont change the bulbs ) white bulbs the dash lights up yellow??? what ya gotta do is take the dash to bits and i mean strip the biatch remove the yellow filters sand them down with a VERY FINE wet n dry so there clear put them back in over the top of the new filters and the dash lights up what ever colour you choose heres some of his work http://www.mk2cav.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Tech;action=display;num=1078756660


ps for ?15 its a better mod than neon washer jets!!!!
