Ive sent this guy ?180 for a kingdom big mouth front bumper a few weeks ago. He received the cheque and told me he would post it the next morning. Following that ive emailed him quite a lot to ask if hes sent the bumper or when will he send it and ive never got a reply off him. Im thinkin the worst now that he has done 1 with my ?180. Wot can i do?

looks like ure not the only one, u and neo_matrix get together and go round his house and collect your things as a last resort, but if he genuinly is sending them give him time...

you would probably be better to collect the parts an pay on collection that to send a cheque, i would never be able to trust anyone with money.

yeah id prefer to pay when i go collect the parts but i cant drive till july so postin is the only way to get bits. Jus pm'd neo matrix see wot we can do bout the twat, id be happy givin the lad time to post the bits but wots the point ignorin emails? from the sounds of it hes not 1 to be trusted so its either a nice trip to norfolk to kick shit out of him and get my bumper (if he really has it) or get the pigs n see wot can be done legally, doubt they wont do much tho. Definately makes me think twice bout buyin bits over the net

Police will take details, go and interview him but there's no evidence of a crime. If he told the police he sent the gear there's nothing they can do about it! It could just be a case of heis word against his!! And then they'd check the tax discs on the car outside...
you would have been better off collecting a bumper anyway

top gear in st albans aint that bad. had an exhaust put on my escort that is top notch. and he welded up the middle box for me for free. cos i cant afford a new one yet. and its pooped. standard ford from the ford people. lasted a year. wnakers!

rite im neo sez hes had words with him and stoner boy sed he will send the bits asap :roll: . If they dont arrive by the weekend me and ma dad are goin down to norfolk to pay him a visit and collect my bumper :twisted: . I wud have collected the bumper but im banned till july so thats not an option at the mo, jus have to trust ppl. This is the first time ive been fuked about, ppl off here are usually sound as a pound.
it is all well and good people saying 'go and collect' but if the person that has the part that your after just happens to be miles away then sometimes it is easier to put your trust in them as it aint a good option to travel hundreds of miles. I know ?180 is alot of money but still it could cost the person say 40 quid extra in petrol to go get it which then my work out not much less than if you were buying the part new. If that makes sense.

then take my alloys down to him
so borrowed some axel stands emailed him all week to check if it was on never heard a thing from him
i know its not cost me owt but its the point that he's pished me about

No they probably won't because as Rick has already pointed out with a lack of sufficient evidence it's one persons word against another - plus it's more of a civil matter than a police one, however, the police WOULD get involved if you were to go round there and start breaking windows and damaging property (house / car etc etc) and as for physical violence then you're on very thin ice - I won't mention the crossbow as I think it's obvious you'll be looking at the inside a 4 walls with bars for windows if you go down that route.

tru, a bit bait! but it aint my trouble, so i aint doing nothing. im not a violent person but when sum1 takes the piss, then in most cases they shouldnt be allowed to get away with it otherwise they will just keep doing to u and others.
if i remember correctly there is an agricultrial college or sommant like that at syderstone, nfk went ther a few years ago to collect some bucket seats.
don't know if it's related or not as it was a long time ago but the bloke with the nova i got them off was about 6ft 5

i would wirte the cheque but would ask the bank to withold the money until goods received.
people usually wait until cheques have cleared tho to send out goods, so you'd both end up waiting!
