cant get into my boot

ive got a standard tailgate but i cant open it!

its been ok before just went to open it put key in but it wont turn either way! Ive put some wd40 in it but no luck :cry:

what would cause this and how can i get the boot open?

get into the back of your car from front, pull off the cover off your tailgate, pull the rod up towards the sky and your boot will open.

try putting ur key in the lock then taking it out bout 2mm and turn it
