why not? its better than than most things people have on their windscreens:

`max power`
`fast car`
`motorsport`
`turbo`
`turbo technics`
`fast as fcuk`

all these can normaly be found on standard cars with a set of allys and an add on tailpipe

it doesn't matter what it says, it's just the whole sunstrip fettish some people have - i don't get it...

they look awful...

(*my personal opinion*)

so u`r car looks good when u have 2 cream flaps hanging from the roof, which only make it worse as every turn u take the sun gets you from round the rearview mirror as u`r least expecting it?

i guess i should not have window tint either, i better get some sunglasses for all the kids and give them little portable fans to keep the cool. (oh but it wont be cool without the flaps hangin from the roof)

i'll make it easy for you mate.

They are S**T!

but each to there own.

in answer to your original question, you have to get them done yourself.
too much time, cost and lack of demand would not justify getting a batch of them made.

nah, you can have window tint if you like - you can have a damn sunstrip if you want, i'm just saying that a little bit of sunshine won't urge me to stick a stupid bit of plastic on my window...

scottn
26-03-04, 09:18 PM
i`m not sayin you should, i prefer havin 1 as its easier than messing about with flaps, i think cars look better with `em, obviosly you dont but as you say each to their own.

Well i cant really talk .... because untill valver went in i had a HUGGGGEEE sunstrip ... but it was only window tint so u could see through it ... alot of people think it suited my car .... I still have my windows smoked tint ( except the drivers one which was smashed)

But saying that it was built 3 years ago and i had all the tits done professionally ... not bodged

Tints and sunstrips can look good, but have to be on right car

Slatter

Ps another reason for my sunstrip was no sun visors !!! lol

i had a sunstrip on my car saying Vauxall. It was pretty big, i couldn't see traffic lights when i pulled up to them.

I took it of after a few months after i got some propper mods done to me car. Grew out of it i suppose u could say.

Some strips look ok, a pug 106 i seen looks Ok but not really for me.

i only use one in the hight of summer, simply coz im to lazy to fiddel with the grey things, and like scottn said they don't work anyway.

But yeah its a bit of a bastard when it somes to traffic lights, and i had to take mine off for the MOT as the wipers touched it.

window tint + sun visor = no sun

Neil.
27-03-04, 12:44 AM
dont put one on, makes the nova looks very bad, i had one then removed it and the car looked so much better without it!

Just adds to the 'boy racer' image people have of baseball capped 17 yr old nova drivers.

lmao, i cant believe your trying to justify that they actually serve a purpose, they are made for saxo's/novas/106's/corsa etc base models with big kits and chrome m3 mirrors to add to the whole tacky/shitty effect

THEY LOOK FUCKING SHITE!

Neil.

along the same lines.

Does anyone find that their sunflap thingies have a mind of their own sometimes?

The passenger side one in my car seems to come down on its own! it gets a bit annoying. It normally happens when its warm inside the car.

Rach

mine don't. sorry mate...

dan_mk1nova----how can you comment on tacky/s**t mods and basic models when you have one of the most standard looking/boring novas on here, i`ve seen granny`s with better.

p.s. tacky mods are things like moving your your numberplate but leaving the numberplate light in the same place (put some effort into it lad/or tell your dad/grandad to do it properly)

i don't know how you can say that...

dan's car looks really nice because he's done SUBTLE mods... unlike you by the sounds of it....

you're probably one of the classy examples that keep barry boys up and running...

lmao, since when have i ever said my car is amazing looking!?
i havnt moved the numberplate light because iv lost interest in the car, and how can you talk about tacky mods, this is coming from the person who has an outdated front bumper mixed with a standard rear bumper, m3 mirrors, tartan'd pattern seats and standard 15' vauxhall alloys?!
each to their own i suppose, but i know whos car id rather own

scottn

Dan_mk1 nova;

your front bumper was out of date when nova`s turned to mk2

my back bumper is a modded version of yours (with a noplate light)

recaro`s are comfyer than gte seats thats why i replaced them
(tartan dont matter as soon to be retrimmed)
(i aint giving up on mine)

epo

no mate i dont think your car is tacky, it all works together rather than a mis-match of original + kitted parts
