hi all i need help i gott a 1.4i merit plus its got a cat on it well i've heard if ya take it off and replace it with a normal bit of pipe u get a little extra BHP. if i do replace it will my car pass its mot

i got a j reg sri and that doesnt have a cat on it.

novas don't need a cat to pass an MOT. Altho you might have troubles with emissions, and could fail on that.

j plate is fine

get an Sri exhaust manifold and a GTE downpipe and system

that should unleash a few horses and will decat it too

make SURE u get the sri manifold tho

its the only one with a lambda probe hole :)

was having a discussion with local mate who does mot's and he says any car registered after aug 1992 has to have a cat.. mine didnt and he passed it anyway cos hes a mate...

novas are not listed for cat tests who cares im binning my cat on my K reg if it fails ill put it back on and visa versa after it passes

ive got a k reg sri and it failed because it didnt have a cat so i made the engine number un readable and it passed
