show nova or everyday car

just a query, how many of you have your nova for show?. And how many have a second car or a runabout? or is your nova your only mode of transport.

if those of you have it for show or weekend use, what else do you own or drive?

also it it hard to keep both running or not ? :D

I'm kinda in the middle. When my Nova comes back from the rebuild I'll be a bit more careful with it. I'll probably take it off the road over the winter and wont be too keen on driving it in bad conditions, but generally I'll be driving it a fair bit over the summer. My girlfriend has a Clio which I can drive, so I'm using that at the minute.

2/ when it is i only drive it in the summmer, ie may to october and dont use it when it rains, i get a works mini bus to work so i only use the nova in the evenings and at wk ends!
my second car is a g reg cavalier glx? 2ltr 8v autospastic :lol:

I use the saloon as my everyday car, and the hatch to 'pose' in lol. Was gonna keep the saloon standard but that's gone out the window now :lol:

I drove my nova for 5 years everyday then I took it off the road and
rebuilt it now I only use the car shows and weekends only

My second car is a 306 XND for work :oops:

use my car everyday in all weathers though it f ucking kills me, especially when its p*ssing down with rain and I drive over salt they have put down to stop it form icing up. when I know all to well that I should have waxoyled my car this winter and didnt

I use my 1.2i thats soon to become a 2ltr everyday and my turbo will only get used in dry weather through summer and will not be used for work. Rick

At the minute mine is a everyday car, but not for long then it will be a show car/summer car and never used for the winter, and ill just get a 1.4SR as a run a round.

I drive my Nova (Red GTE Turbo) 112 miles a day 5 days a week to work and back!!!

But I also have a Silver GSi Shell that im rebuilding into something special.

1) Fiesta Van - Everyday ( Diesel is great lol )

i use my 1.0 nova round town cos its cheap 2 run and is quite a headturner at the moment, but i use my 1.4 mk6 escort for out of town as it is comfyer and faster and saves clocking all those miles up on the poor little nova.

Used to do 150 miles a week in the Nova until I took it off the road in October for cage, F28 etc. When it is finished it will probably end up in everyday use again as its so much fun to drive.

At the moment my everyday car is a Renault 5 GT Turbo that my dad let me have but I think I will struggle to insure both of them at the same time.

use mine everyday and always will , personaly dont see the point of keepin them off road /for shows (with exception of rick ds which i wouldnt let anybody near)

mine will be a semi show car when its done - problem is i work a fair distance from home so running anything on 40s for 20K miles plus/year would cost a bit on fuel....

bring on me 106 diesel. great daily car - handles like a boat but starts stops and steers (of a fashion) and great on fuel too

Mine has only recently become a showcar, been given a company car (new Fiesta Zetec :o ) so at last I can keep my nova mint. Just in time really as I would have been stuck while it was having the engine conversion!!
Did 50.000 miles as an everday car before this though, so it's earned a rest!!

the re-build is gonna be more of a fun 2nd / show car... i've got a nova saloon as an everyday car till the project is drivable and then i'm gonna get sommat else as everyday car and have the project insured as limited milage
