New Shell

If i baught a new shell 4 my nova that didnt have any docs would i be able to use that shell on my current nova reg or would i have to get a Q plate on? Or does it sound dodgy and not bother getting it?? Any help from u legal boffins would be useful

i think IF its a new shell; new reg. 04 plate. but where can you get new shells from?

I wish it were a *new* shell that wud be sooooo amazing but its not its new as in new for me lol

if its not got a vin number its dodgy and u will find it difficult to get a plate for it - the dvla/police will wanna know where it came from and why its got no chassis number

if it HAS a chassis number and has never been registered im unsure

they will either issue a plate for the year the actual chassis was made or they might issue an xx04 assuming the car as a whole would meet the existing european standards - which i doubt

put the vin number into the epc and it will tell you what it is......

if it's been registered then you can apply to the dval for the v5

if one had a new unregistered shell to get a 04 plate the car would have to be built exactly to manufact' spec with 100% new parts costing i'd imagine well into a 5 figure sum
