virus but...no virus???

i keep getting returned mail from mail accounts saying i've sent a virus to addys i don't know (and aren't in my addy book) from my pc so i got the latest updates and did a scan but nowt came up infected

well my fellow resistance member do u use msn? if so there is a new scam going around where hackers use your msn to access your computer and send out e-mails. ive got a program called im now which stops them doing this, will find link in a bit m8

was laid in bed watching tv last nite, looked across at screen and a big red box up. Virus found!

It was li.exe or somet in docs and settings\all users (win xp pro)

I had messenger and mIRC running at time, with usual IE windows.

Its a virus thats picked up your address and is mimicing the "from" field.

Don't worry about it, just delete it.

I get these, just delete them and run a virus scanner to make sure they've not infected your pc.

I get the same my PC is fine as scan it weekly, but people complain i send them infected emails saying "coming soon" or similar.
