Turbo principles?

i am gettying myself confused on the turbo principles e.g. how the actuator and wastegate work, the actuator pipe being pulled off difference.
why the wastegate flutters?
how to get more power out of a turbo without increasing the lag,and how to reduce lag
just simple things
can some one explain please.

try here. found this site the other day and it's the bollocks. I'm gunna sit down and read it all when i get a chance. I'm already planning the throttle body polishing and putting a flange on the intake pipe.
