Reading the Haynes manual has confused me when it describes how to remove a front bumper on a MK2 Nova. What exactly do I have to do? I have removed the grille and found the two bolts that secure the bumper to each of the two wings. But then it mentions something about removing "Body-bound rivets on the underside of the bumper". Can someone clarify exactly what I have to do. TIA

Take the two bolts off after the grill and then there are two bolts holding the bumper to the arches, they are at the end of the bumper, where it joins the wheelarch. Then the bumper should then just slide off.

also though their are sound rivets holding it on, i think their is one on the gsi bumper, its at the centre of bumber at the bottom, attatched to the body work.
a sharp pull and it pops straight out !!!

on the standard mkII bumpers though their are quite a few rivets

Few rivit things underneath u need to prize out, 2 on the inside of the wing pulling the bumper to the wing and 2 near the engine, carful not to snap the bolts like i did
