anyone had any problems with the F16 box being close to the tie bar?

yes mate i did i cut the lump off the box which was close to it. its only alloy.

so if u just get grinder or hack saw it'll chop of easy?

very easy with grinder. i didnt know u had to do this until a week after when i was changing the oil.

I didnt know it needed chopping off until garage guy pointed it out.
ill chop it off tomorrow.

yes forgot to mention once u cut it off, if oil comes out u cut to much off. lol. yes mate hacksaw does it fine.

lol, well how much shall i cut off, is there a point i shouldn't go past, obviously ill do tiny bits until it doesnt touch but any advice?
What does this 'tab' sticking out do?

yeah chris i thing i know what you mean, will do that 2morow morning.
If the tracking was wayyyyyyy out could it cause bad stearing to the left?

could do, just get it checked, only costs a 10 spot. i had the valver in for a month without having the traking done. didnt really need it

Will get it looked at 2morow, either hawleys at halfway where im having zorst fitted or wicker tyres.

i usually go to wicker tyres, cheap. from stannington. doubt i'll be coming to sheffield meet. dont know anyone and i'm driving around in a cavvy till turbos back on road. :roll:

i have a valver with a f 20 gearbox that has a chunk taken off the caseing !

just leave it!

its not doin no harm!

and just cut so its inleine with the outside of the casing and no more

any more and youll go into the box

gb oil all over the floor. :|

glad shes going at last :+: gimme a ring once exhaust is on u dirty sanchez

it's there so when the box is on the floor it doesn't fall over..... i allways cut it off

errr. ive done this and it caused a whole which now pisses out gearbox oil. can it be welded up cos im using windscreen sealer to stop it leaking at the mo. :oops:

you should have cut it flat with the box... sealer will be fine
