no uptake of drive from the gearbox

the gearbox we have just fitted is a f13 and wont take up the drive its not the clurch coz the tacho says the speed, which means the input shaft at least is turning, the driveshaft have the correct amount of splines on them, so my guess as good as yours... it makes a noise as if theres movement in the box but otherwise no drive..

when you say its telling you your speed. is this while your on the spot or when you roll the car.
it soulds like the shafts are not in the box properly but ive never heard this before and yo would have oil everywhere. if not the crownwheel and pinion could be fooked. so giving no drive to the wheels

drive shaft wasnt popped in properly got it running now...
