could be your choke playing up, or the float in the carb might be sticking, please give more info.

Try this, it might help !

My 1.2 was doing exactly the same thing, just starting but running really badly and the carb just flooded in about a minute

i was gonna get the carb taken apart and flushed and cleaned, but before i took it to the garage ( a mates) i took off the airbox, just 3 screws on the top, then on the carberetor at the front, i.e big closest to you., you will see 3 little Gold Screw like objects. Two of them come out, and 1 doesn't .

unscrew the 2 removable ones using a screwdriver but REMEMBER WHICH CAME FROM WHICH HOLE ! THEY ARE DIFFERENT ! then use a very very fine pin or carb cleaner to flush them through, as they are small jets of some kind. Mine were blocked with crap outta the petrol tank.

then i refitted them in the right way and started the car up and it worked much much bettr. !

Don't really know wot exactly i did !, but it helped alot !

if you take your air box off, so your carb is open

on the carb there will be three gold screw like objects that are on the top of the carb closest to you. it mite be different on yours ! i don't know !

i'm not sure exactly what they do, so if somoene knows then it would help !
