undercar neons

ello everyone. i was just wondering which was the best way to buy and fit undercar neons. either, buy them one by one and fit them one by one, or buy them as a whole kit. cheers, rob.

Best to buy them as as whole kit mate cuz you get a full wireing kit and switch etc.

Its easy to wire up to, connect all the neons in series then stick the switch/transformer etc in the circuit.

yeah buy them as a whole kit. i dont like them and they deffinatly dont look right on a nova even more reason for the pigs to pull u over! but on some cars they can look decent.

If you're gonna buy them, then either get a kit or buy all four at once (saw an XR2 once with a front one only and it looked naff).

Make sure they don't hang down under the car - you'll probably have to bash a dent down one end for them to sit in - because then they will look rather poo and the police *will* nick you. And don't drive with them on (*cough cough* ben with the gold nova *cough cough*) lol

dont think they will, piece of p!ss to do though. Jack the car up, drill some holes, bang the clips on, screw the clips through the holes drilled and wire'em up.

buy them as a kit mate, there cheaper that way, fitting them is a peice of piss, as the front of the nova has a nice space right behinde the bottom of the bumper, the sides fit nicley at the edge, the rear is a little more of a pain, u got eather the rear supension bar or the boot floor, the boot floor makes it show the light better but u can see the bulb if u aint gota low bumper, where as the rear supension bar u cannot see the bulb but the light would be under the car more so it wouldent spray out like the rest

Silicon around any holes u make or it will rust, oh and silicon it as soon as you make the hole, i.e. have the 'neons' in place and the wiring plan sorted then make holes and seal it.

Use common sense as well, if there is a wire 4mm thick drill a 4-5 mm hole not 10mm or something stupid!

tell you a nice trick that we did,

if you are thinking of getting a smooth/flushed boot ! which you might be doing !?!?!?! your Rear wiper would eventually be out of order.

We wired them up to the wiper motor on the rear, as this is 12v it powers them and you can turn them on and off using your control stalks, rather than having a crappy button somewhere

If you don't wanna do that, go get a fog lamp button from vauxhall, couple of quid, and mount it in your dash in one of the blanked slots ! and connect it to that !
