Hi all, title says it all really
How do you wire up the oil pressure gauge on the 6 dial dash, its a mk1 1.2L done the rev counter fine but the oil points well to the right.
Will it be as simple as a wire to the oil light sensor on the engine block like wiring the rev counter?
TIA

Na don't think it is that simple. My oil pressure guage on my GTE runs from a sensor that screws into the bottom end of the engine near the crank pully, think there's two wires.
Have a look and see if you've got this sensor, otherwise I think it would be a mish to fit you own sensor!

u need an oil pressure sender off a gte - your car will only have an oil pressure switch thats used to provide the warning light

You say the sender would have to be off a GTE? The 6-dial dash came out of a E Reg '88 SR - Does that mean that any Nova with the 6-dial dash has the correct sender unit?
Also, does anyone know the exact wiring setup I would need? I presume teh sender unit would need power from somewhere?
Cheers,
