ignition timing

im just setting up the ignition timing on my 2.0 8v as im runnin carbs.
i have a timing light but im not sure wheather to lighn up the marks exactly (the belt is set up so they do) by turning the dizzy or have them slightly past the marks. anyne have a rough idea where theres is set so i dont do damage to the engine driving it to the rolling road tuners

the bottom pully mark is tdc (i think), so i reckon a bit behind it cos most are like 8-10 degs before tdc mark...

Wat RPM are u suposed to make adjustments to the timing when using a strobe?

34deg advance at 3000 rpm for twin 40's
