View Full Version : oil pressure gauge on digi (1.4 sr)

we cant get it to work on the digi dash on a 1.4 sr. does anybody know if the sr comes with the right sender coming out of the sump? or does it need one with two wires coming out of it (this one only has one). cheers all

the dash will work with both the gauge and the switch. u must have wired it up wrong or have a faulty sender...

i have two wires running from the sender one of which is for the light and the other is for the guage. it wouldent work with only one.

the switches have 1 wire and the gauges have 2.. 99.9% sure

i thought it was..... 2 wires coming from the sender...a green and blue and a yellow and blue...then u send them up to the dash as connect them accordinly....but the send on our one only has one wire coming out the green and blue which is for the oil tell tail. so i presume we have the wrong sender?

im pretty sure you have both wires in your loom , just need to get the correct sender and wire it up

im sure u have the right sender, but u only use one of the 2 wires the 1 with the plug which is bigger than the other clip...ive a couple of switches and 1 gauge spare

Also got a problem with my 1.4sr too. On my digi it says the oil is it max except it never goes down. Checked the oil the other day with the dip stick and it was on min! st00pid thing!

mk2 1.4sr has single wire sender.. it needs to be swapped for a mk1 sr one or a gte/gsi one

it doesnt measure oil level only oil pressure and ur sender only sends a on or off no shades of grey? unless u have the later gsi sender fitted

the 2 wire gsi 1 obviosly, both the wires are in the loom, 1 is just taped back if its not being used...
