im more than sure its a mod on the original mk2 grille, cut the bottom and cover the top (thats the way ill b doin it ne way)

to me usin an astra grille wud b too much work and besides i already have the nova grille so i may as well mod that.

how do you plan on covering the top?

jus bonding plastic over the top and smoothing over, it shoulnt crack cos it has no load atall on it

jules has done one on a mk1 a while ago, i dont think his cracked, am i wrong? wot did u use m8?

Use a saxo grill, there virtually a direct fit and easier to mod as they already have the reinforcing bar thrpough the middle.

spot on, jules roughly wot materials did you use? how much strengthenein did u do - if any?

Materials used :-
Filler (lots of!!)
Filler primer
Various grades of sandpaper (lots of!!)
Elbow grease (lots of!!)
Blisters on palms and fingertips (lots of!!)

No strengthening, but it weighed a whole lot more than before I started it (obviously!!), Looking back it would of made more sense to do it with fibreglass matting then fill to finish.

Euan - Consider it sent.
