What paint for alloys??

in the process of rubbing down my allys for a refurb but in gloss black this time. not sure whether to use car paint with a n etch primer and a laquer on top to protect, or is there a better paint type that will give a good finish but be able to withstand the extremeties and the odd stone flying at it!

just been muching around my local car parts place, they have some paint for wheels in 'racing black', sweet!!
