i dont know what people replied
what you need to do is use the F13 bell housing / casing and the F10 internals if you want to fit an F10
it is possible.....
just you need to use parts from both

actually its a luck of the draw
some SRi's have small flywheel and actually come with F10 from factory
others have small and are fitted with F13's
then u get the rest with large flywheels and F13's
so you've just been unlucky

doubt that very much.
if an engine has a diffrent size flywheel, then it means the starter motor would have to be relocated. if your saying theres two types of 1.4sri block then ok there might be a chance, but i cant see it myself...... any gen?

just made aragorn check
early sri used SR block which means F10 jobby
late sri uses new style sri block. and an f13 gets put on for good measure as i suspected

thats not quite correct
SRi had 2 different blocks and 2 different flywheels
no sri used an SR block
and to fix what i said up there - all SRi's came with F13's
the early ones had the smaller flywheel and an F10 would fit on these
later ones had the GTE/GSi sized flywheel

its the multipoint SRI's that are the anomalies. they also had bigger driveshafts like the GTE/GSI's henc the F13 box

driveshafts are irrelevent and its all SRi's we're discussing here
there are a whole pile of SRi's that would happily take a F10 box cos they have the smaller flywheel fitted
unfortunately mikeyredtop seems to have one of the later engines with the larger flywheel which will only fit a F13
